Grand Wine Tour DO Empordà
About this tour
The Greeks brought wine to the Iberian Peninsula through this stretch of coast, so it is no surprise that the Empordà has one of the longest winemaking histories in the country. This full-day tour takes you into the region for visits to two of its most representative family wineries, both farming organically, with a tasting at each.
Interest points
Pick-up
We agree on a meeting point, pick you up, and set off for the first stop.
First Winery
Our first visit, led by the winemakers themselves, who walk you through the vineyard and talk you through the grape varieties they grow.
First Tasting
The part everyone waits for: tasting the wines, working through the range and what sets each one apart.
Second Winery
The second and final stop, up in the hills. The growers show us round the vines, and afterwards we sit down to a meal of local produce paired with the estate's own wines.
Return
We drop you back where the day started. After a day among the wines and the vines, it is time to rest. Until the next one!
